New beauty products are constantly being released, so how can out tell which are REALLY that effective? It’s hard to decipher by reading reviews. You can never really be sure which reviews have been paid for through company placements! Instead of reading reviews, we decided to take a look at products that the beauty bloggers swear by. Here’s what we found.
No One Single Foundation
Huda Kattan of Huda Beauty explains that no one foundation will do the trick. “I’d suggest buying four shades, max — olive tone, beige tone, light tone, and dark tone — and mixing to make a perfect foundation.” She doesn’t specify which brand you should use, other than to find one that works well for your skin. Jaleesa Moses, Ipsy stylist and beauty vlogger, recommends L’Oreal Paris True Match Blendable Makeup. You can pick up yours at Walgreens for just $7.99.
A High-End Skin-Care Routine
Beauty bloggers all agree your skin-care routine is critical. “Good facial creams are the most important place to spend money,” Kattan says. She recommends using Orchidee Imperiale Cream. “I buy it in boatloads, because it’s my go-to for skin emergencies,” she says. If you’re not looking to drop $455 for a 1.7oz container of Orchidee, beauty bloggers also recommend Time in a Bottle Daily Age-Defying Serum for just $75. Beauty blogger Gabriel Zamora says the anti-aging serum “has reduced fine lines and the appearance of my pores in a matter of months.”
A Good Make-Up Remover
I admit: I’m guilty of falling asleep before giving my face a thorough wash. Gross, I know. Beauty bloggers all emphasize finding a good make-up remover to keep your skin looking young. Karen Yeung opts for Kanebo Sensai Silky Purifying Gentle Make-Up Remover ($33 on Amazon). Meanwhile, Lust for Life blogger Olivia Lopez opts for Bioderma’s Sensibio H20. “I go to Paris twice a year and I stock up on every trip. It’s the most effective and gentle makeup remover I’ve yet to use.”
Unless you’re a pro, beauty bloggers recommend staying basic when it comes to trying out bold colors. The beauty bloggers suggest keeping it simple and recommend Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick, CoverGirl blush, and Kat Von D liquid eyeliner, to name a few. “If there’s one eyeliner I swear by, it’s that one!,” says YouTube beauty vlogger Madelynn De La Rosa. “Not only does it last all day and is incredibly easy to apply, it’s also cruelty-free and vegan.”
Now that we know what the pros swear by, let’s hear from the readers. Any specific beauty products we should add to our go-to lists this fall? What are your must-have products?
